Well, day three of the Bunk Bed Chronicles :-) The peices are now stained. Both of the headboards and footboards and all of the side rails are done. YAY! Everything looks really nice. And the kids fingers got into the stain only one time *lol*. Kensey had to touch it, so she did.
I am really excited. The next phase of this project will be to put everything together. Then we will have the finished product. Can't wait!
Josh has been looking for twin mattresses to go on the beds. Who knew that twin mattresses would be so dang expensive?! So, we are on the search for two twin mattresses that won't break the bank.
The kids are really excited about their beds. They can't wait. They both continue to ask about them. It is really fun to see their excitement.....I mean, how many kiddos sleep on beds that their Daddy made? Not many. Lucky little boogers :-)
Ok, so holes are drilled, pieces are stained, next will be putting it all together. Josh took a break right now, so I'm not sure if he is going to get around to the putting together today or tomorrow, but be assured, I will post the finished product :-)
